Holy shit, I didn't know that Peter Steele died! He died back in April. Well, I live under a rock, so I have no idea what's going on. I love Type O Negative and I was waiting for them to tour. Well it looks like it's never going to happen. They could get a new singer/basist, but no one can replace Peter Steele.

My god, how many people have died this year?! Ronnie James Dio (that was a huge tragedy), Paul Gray, Peter Steele. And there was also Gary Coleman and Adriana Xenedis. I'm sure there were other deaths that shocked me, but I can't remember them from the top of my head.

I heard about Dio's death when a mate messaged me one day saying "Ronnie James Dio died last light. Check it out on the net". If he didn't tell me about it, then I probably wouldn't have known. Probably because cancer isn't "scandeless" enough to make the news.

I read about Paul Gray's death! news whenever I log out from my email. They made it seem like he was some careless junkie who died from a cocktail of drugs. That was so unfair and biased. It was the same old story ripping on alternative folk, making them seem like Satanic terrorists on drugs.

That's so unfair. When Michael Jackson and Heath Ledger died, it was all "It was an accidental overdose. It was the doctor's fault". Whereas when a rockstar dies "They're filthy junkies! The world is better off without them". And, I quote straight! news "Slipknot became notorious for its performances. Its members often broke each other's bones, set each other on fire, and injured their fans after diving into the crowd." I've seen Slipknot live and they didn't break each other's bones, nor did they set each other alight or stage dive. I swear, the media are fucking idiots.

And anyway, people from all walks of life take drugs, not just the rich and famous, or the junkies shooting up in public toilets. I've known graphic designers, musicians, engineers, doctors, businessmen, tradesmen, photographers... all sorts of people who take drugs. And most of them are just your average Joe working the old 9-5, with a mortgage, wife, and kids. I'm not condoning drugs in any way. I've seen what they do to people, and its not very pretty. But the "normal" person you walk past on the street is on drugs, the "normal" person you sit next to on the train is on drugs, the "normal" person who you buy your groceries from is on drugs. Drugs exist everywhere, and all types of people take them. Hell, journalists must be high on coke to have the balls to write shit like that.
